DYM is a heterogeneous group of designers, architects and visual artists who experimented with the possibilities of interactive media as a medium to carry out in urban contexts. It aims to create synesthetic experiences, focusing on information and on the displacement of meaning which the imagination can create videos in unusual contexts. Needless Studio was founded in June of 2010 in Rome by the idea of a diverse group of students with different aptitudes. After an initial period of research, the collective is increasingly oriented towards sustainable design and reuse of materials, creating cultural initiatives with the aim of discovering and promoting attitudes compatible with nature. Handicraft production, sharing of knowledge and know-how are the basis for workshops and meetings organized during the first year of business: to make the public aware of the added value that an object can have self-produced, not only in strictly economic or emotional , but also emotional and cultural. This creates the basis for thinking in a broader perspective, where the achievement of partial independence from the current industrial process is the first step towards a more complex redesign, sustainable and ecological production chain, taking inspiration from the natural development which does not there are differences, but only input for other processes. Needless Studio is a meeting point for developing a strong network based on the sharing of ideas, resources, and thoughts on the free dissemination of culture and skills.
Orizzontale is a collective of architects based in Rome whose main object of interest is formed by the process of reactivation of municipal waste. Starting from the interception of places, things and ideas thrown out of the loop (re) production of the metropolis, Orizzontale active collaborative processes in the form of performances or installations, “public acts” during which the waste material and intangible ridiano mutually sense. From 2010 Horizontal has promoted some homebrewing projects for public spaces relational, in which, forming images of abandoned cities and unpublished, was experimenting with new forms of interaction between urban residents and the commons, while putting to the test limits of the process of architectural creation.

BTI is essentially a charity that offers design assistance to communities and individuals in need. From looking at the problems to finding sustainable aid solutions to ultimately providing buildings and infrastructure. These core actions have blossomed into advocating and educating on the principles of socially aware design, providing an accessable resource on humanitarian design projects and providing a structure for the crossover of information between design professionals. Alessandro Colombo and Ugo Lorenzi, researchers at Fault of Lisbon in “Socio-spatial Studies, Urban and Local Action”, dealing with the social production of urban space for the integration of informal spaces. They work in synergy for local and urban activity.

Il collettivo Orizzontale invites students take part in a self-construction workshop acting on that “no man’s land” represented by the half at the Fort, a “space threshold” very particular in what city and community center graze.
Conscious of the delicate balances prevailing in this space the collective proposes the design of temporary elements for a common space in which bonds between the Fort and the City can develop with unprecedented ways.
The project is divided into three areas:
1. The creation of a series of platforms that make “livable” space surrounding the chamber
2. The creation of a lighting system controlled from the fort, which makes it more comfortable crossing the hemicycle and at the same time constitutes a bright backdrop for the activities that take place.
3. The creation of a small structure in the form of micro-gazebo or “information box” that houses some of the multifunctional activities to support activities of the Fort (ticket, bar, etc..)

A real investigation, as in a detective story that leads you through four clues to reconstruct the changes which occurred in recent years in the Civil Protection Department and the way it was handled the post-earthquake in L’Aquila: the failure reconstruction of the immediate construction of the controversial CASE Berlusconi.
